Ever had that moment in life, when you had an idea in your head but couldn’t put it into writing no matter how much you tried, but then you ask for help from a friend and they give words to your thoughts. That extraordinary friend of yours is a GHOSTWRITER! In simple language, a ghostwriter is paid to write any type of material, from a blogpost to a book, that is credited to someone else.

Who needs a Ghostwriter?

The urgency of a ghostwriter arises when a person has a story in their mind and is unable to put it into words. Writing is not everyone’s cup of tea, but people are and always have been full of interesting stories that they want to share, but they have little to no writing experience. Here comes the role of a ghostwriter. Sometimes a ghostwriter would meet you just once to gauge your vision and deliver the material within a few days, sometimes they may need several meetings to get this done.

How to be a good Ghostwriter?

Ghostwriting is the apex of all publishing services, so one has to be able to do deep listening to be the master of this craft. It’s not just about pretending to be somebody else, but you’ve got to be able to immerse yourself completely in the psyche; to put oneself in a second skin, not just their voice or their intention but also the clients vision. To be able to feel what your authors are trying to say one should be able to create something out of nothing. One has to be creatively analytical and analytically creative. Ghostwriting is all about making a “head flip” away from thinking about yourself as an author or as a freelancer and have the ability to maintain the author’s intent and to keep intact the essence of what the author is trying to say. Being the master of coding, decoding and formatting is the holy-grail for you if you want to succeed in the art of ghostwriting.

Being a ghostwriter is equal parts patience, determination, confidence and experience. Once you master these the perks are amazing; you’ll get paid up front, ghostwriting as a profession is quite lucrative, there isn’t any need for marketing because your name isn’t on the book but you still need to do the marketing for yourself to capture client attention. This is one of the best solutions for both the author and the ghostwriter. The ghostwriter doesn’t have to wait around for days for any interviews or time spent in researching as he gets all the information from the author. The author on the other hand doesn’t have to waste months in trying to get his story out to the world.

So, it's a win-win for all!
